The Journey
Welcome! This space documents the technical methodologies, notes, and thought processes I developed while navigating the CyLab Security Academy challenges.
💡 Educational Resource: This repository functions as a map of how to think and tracks my personal growth in cybersecurity. You won't find direct answers here—only the logic behind them.
Philosophy & Ethics
To maintain the integrity of the CyLab Security Academy competition and strictly adhere to Carnegie Mellon University's (CMU) Terms of Service, this documentation follows a strict ethical framework:
- No Flags Provided
Direct flags will never be posted. The ultimate goal is mastering the how, not just collecting the result. - Focus on Methodology
The content focuses entirely on logical steps, tool configuration, and fundamental security concepts (such as RSA padding vulnerabilities, SQL injection patterns, or Buffer Overflows). - Experience-Based Learning
These guidelines are written entirely from my own hands-on perspective—mistakes, dead ends, and breakthroughs included. - Zero Spoilers
Documentation emphasizes foundational concepts and high-level hints, preserving the crucial learning moments for others.
